USCCB Meeting

About this Episode

Bishop Daly, recently returned from the USCCB, shares about the most recent Bishop Conference General Assembly. While some expressed disappointment that more was not done, there remains hope for continued action on the crisis.

Beyond the evil of the abuse crisis, Bishop Daly and the vicars take a look at the wider crisis in the Church and the world: individualism, the lack of authentic friendship, and the sexualization of so much of our culture. Good friendships among men are joked about as "bromances." Many don't know how to live authentic friendships beyond the use they get out of the relationship, and how such an individualistic culture is part of the roots of this present crisis in the Church. While there is no golden age for human relationships, is the way we view our fellow human beings part of the problem?

Join Bishop Thomas Daly, Fr. Darrin Connall (Vicar General), Fr. Brian Mee (Vicar for Finance), and Fr. Pat Kerst (Vicar for Priests) as they talk about faith, life, and challenging issues of the day; always keeping in mind the joy our faith inspires.
