From the recent tragic fire at Notre Dame to the terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka, Christians experience suffering and persecution. With the visual images we see on the news, loss can seem all around us even if we are secure in our own communities. We as Christians are called to have hope knowing that, "the people [of God] will not be defeated because Christ is not defeated." In Christ, we know the victory is won, and in His cross, we can have hope.
